Pio (Tim Piotrowski) [he/him]

Chief Beer Officer

Pio has been working as a professional brewer since 2010 - from Colorado to Minnesota and back home in Wisconsin. He founded Delta Beer Lab to do business and brewing a different way...to work along with the community and steward the environment. Pio's favorite beer style is Belgian Witbier but loves West Coast IPAs and appreciates really well-crafted lighter beers. He enjoys camping / canoeing / backpacking and cribbage/board games. Pio is grateful to his partner, Neal, for all his support and enthusiasm for Delta ... and loves their new puppy, Brandy.

Speedy (Michelle Riehn) [she/her]

Right Hand

Speedy is constantly learning and has probably experienced enough to have lived five lifetimes. She’s worked in burgers and fries, pizza, ice cream, and beer; in retail, fireworks, and advertising; as a janitor, painter, and bank teller; and at SUMMER CAMP! She’s been a Wisconsinite her whole life (not counting six excellent years in the Twin Cities). Her favorite color is brown, her favorite food is chips and salsa, and her biggest personal accomplishment is running a marathon. She loves adventuring to new places (especially breweries, distilleries, and wineries) with her partner Ida. Together they have two kids, two cats, and a dog -  it's a zoo, but it’s great practice for managing the Delta crew.

Will Mueller [he/him]

Sales Force

Will has been touring breweries with his family since he was born and homebrewed for more than 15 years before he briefly worked as a brewer at One Barrel Brewing Company. In his decade as the Bar Manager at Tex Tubb's Taco Palace, he collaborated with many Madison-area breweries to create and brand a variety of beers for Madison Craft Beer Week. Will's goal as a salesperson for Delta Beer Lab is to ensure the best possible customer service to the wonderful people who support Delta Beer Lab by featuring our products. When Will isn't busy talking about beer he enjoys playing guitar, playing disc golf, and gardening.

Bradley Reynolds [he/him | they/them]

Office & Taproom Operations Manager

Bradley comes to The Lab by way of another (biochemistry) laboratory; he feels that this transition to Beer Lab was an upgrade. When he’s behind the bar, ask him about the rest of his week at Delta cleaning kegs, filling cans, delivering beer, and hiding away in the office. He got paid to play the alto saxophone for an hour and a half at his high school junior prom, and beertending at Delta is the closest he’s yet to come to revisiting that former glory.

Mark Schliksbier [he/him]

Assistant Brewer

Mark comes to Wisconsin by way of Illinois, but try not to judge him for it. He’s a big fan of the Badgers and Packers like any good Wisconsinite. His other two loves are sneakers and hats.

Andrew Thomas [he/him]

Community Engagement Coordinator / Sales Force

Andrew has been pouring beers at Delta since summer 2022. A native of Houston--not Austin--Texas, he lived in northern Mississippi before transplanting to Madison nearly a decade ago. When not behind the bar, on a sales trip to Milwaukee, or bumping shoulders with Delta guests at community events, you'll find him on dog walks, gardening, spinning vinyl, playing the electric guitar too loud, or behind the mic at WORT 89.9 FM.

Ida Balderrama-Trudell [she/her]

Beertender

Ida is a Cali girl who grew up in Texas and has been living in WI since 1999 when she moved here for graduate school. Fun fact: Ida didn't really drink beer before she moved to WI, and her first beer love was Ale Asylum's Hopalicous. Her palette these days loves a good sour, and her fave at Delta is any Gose with a splash of cherry soda - her invention! She works hard to keep Speedy fed so she can run around and do all the things at Delta, wrangle the 2 cats, a dog, and 2 kids. She loves going on adventures to new breweries, distilleries, and wineries, and learning the history of a place - it's usually what draws her in. She loves the Delta family she's found in guests and staff alike.

Stasia (Anastasia Grindle) [she/her]

Beertender

When not behind the bar in the taproom, Stasia spends her time as a pediatric audiologist testing hearing, fitting hearing aids, and researching ways to improve hearing healthcare for tiny humans. She was forced into getting this “hobby jobby” at Delta to support the extravagant lifestyle of her freeloading cats, Clio and Olive, who insist on only the finest catnip. Her favorite styles of beer are super juicy hazy IPAs and “sludgy” fruit sours.

Emily Leibold [she/her]

Beertender

Emily is originally from Iowa but moved to Wisconsin for college with her now-husband, and they’ve been here ever since. In her free time (when she’s not pouring beer), Emily enjoys hiking (Glacier National Park is her current favorite), baking, and watching live music. Emily’s favorite beer at Delta is the BRN.01 (Coffee-Infused Brown Ale), and by mentioning it, she hopes they will keep it around longer ;) [Editor’s Note: This effort was unsuccessful ;( ]

Danny Sylvester [he/him]

Beertender

Danny is the longest working beertender, but has worked the fewest hours. Like his career in healthcare, Danny feels that being part of Delta extends his contributions to the community, which is extremely fulfilling for him. Danny is grateful to work with such amazing souls and meet Delta’s wonderful guests.
